Job Title: Presales and Procurement Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Responsibilities

  • Quantity Surveying: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project bidding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications.

  • Client Engagement: Actively engage with potential clients to understand their requirements and challenges, particularly in irrigation and piping systems.

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct in-depth assessments to identify client pain points and demonstrate how the company’s products and services can effectively address these needs.

  • Technical Support: Act as the technical resource for the sales team, providing guidance throughout the sales process to ensure client requirements are met.

  • Collaboration: Partner with sales, design, and project teams to identify opportunities, provide technical advice, and ensure a smooth transition from prospecting to project delivery, including construction phases and maintenance planning.

  • Sales Target Achievement: Drive project acquisition efforts to meet or exceed the company's sales targets.

Procurement Responsibilities

  • Cost-effective Solutions: Lead procurement activities to source alternative and cost-efficient materials and solutions for projects.

  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while leveraging an extensive network within the construction industry, both locally and internationally.

  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, including competitor products, to enhance procurement strategies and improve project outcomes.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).

  • PRC – Engineering License is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in English; certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., PMP, CIPS) are a plus.

Experience

  • 2–5 years in quantity surveying and procurement, with familiarity in Singapore construction standards.

  • Proven expertise in sourcing materials, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, pipelines, firefighting systems, and related areas.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and quantity surveying tools.

  • Familiar with Singapore’s Building Control Act, BCA Green Mark Scheme, and Eurocodes.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for remote collaboration.
